Lesson on MISP -- Risk Management
Today, the MISP tutorial is about risk management. What we learn is not limited in managing risk but project management as well. Points are as below:
- Be careful not to be too ambitious in a project - don't expand your project scale too much at the begining. Scale is one of the four major factors in software project.
- Identify all your options follow path to completion.
- Time management - might be the source of major risks. That's why project plan (scheduled time) is quite essencial.
- Use PROCESS as the start when you have no idea - it is appropriate for different kinds of the project.
- Reassesment plays important role in project management - we need to not only reassess plan but also risk list. At the same time, monitoring is a major operation in project management.
- ASK - don't be hesitate asking questions. Remember, don't ask don't get.
- Integrate information - try to gather information from different sources and generate ideas by analysing and comparing them.
- Plans need to change - because things will go wrong or situation will change. We should chage the plan after reassessment.
